DragonsBlood, year 123 of the Age of Kaos
The race o Men is almost extinct, the ones that weren't killed are now slaves.
There are no more free Men in this world.
The dark forces are everywhere, Goblins and Orcs kill everything on their passage and in order to survive, Dwarves and Elves had to make alliances.
But not everyone was in favor of such alliances, clans were divided and now Elves and Dwarves are friends and foes, but all of them with one common enemy... Orcs and Goblins. This is the Age of Kaos, i'm Argur DragonsBlood army officer and these are my chronicles.

Dalito's Tale!
Dragons Blood, year 123 of The Age of Kaos
The gates started to open, slowly the two heavy doors moved apart from each other, the hinges sounded like screams, and that was the only thing that was to hear cause the city had go silent.
Then trough them came Dalito, he was pale and in bad shape, his horse trotted trough the city and Dalitos eyes were fixed on the Queens tower, he didn't look to no one, he didn't say a word. Argur and the prince stood there watching the man and horse fade away in the distance, the prince looked at Argur looking for a reaction, a explanation, something. Argur said in a deep voice, his eyes still fixed on the spot were Dalito had just disappeared, "Bad news my prince! Now we just need to find out how bad."
Tere was silence for a while, and then Argur looked at the prince and told him to go to the armory and train his sword fight, "I have a feeling your parents and the rest of the war council, and that includes me, are going to be really busy!"
The little Dragon didn't say a word, he made a affirmative gesture with his head and start to walk away, then when he was three steps away he stopped and stayed there for a while in silence, "Argur!" he said.
"Yes my prince!"
"Will you tell me later what the war councils decide, and what Dalito has to say?"
Argur managed a smile, "I will." he answered.
One hour later he was sitting on the war council chambers, everyone was there. Dalito was sitting in the middle of the room, he looked sick, every eye was on him, every mouth was silent. The Queen stood up and said in a serious tone, "Thank you all for coming in such a short notice,. As you all can see Dalito is back." she walked trough the room and stopped by his side, putting a hand on his shoulder she continued, "I know you are exhausted my friend, and that you need rest, but i need you to tell everyone here what you just told me and Dragon."
"Of course my Quee." he answer.
"Three days after we left, me Jorah and Ändhul arrived at King Omega's. We were recieved as i expected, as guests. We got a audience with the king, and i explained him, Davids treachery and told him that all were lies. That the Queen and King of Dragons Blood didn't wanted a war between our alliances. I was to late though, Davids lies have blinded Omega, they killed Jorah and Ändhul right there in front of my eyes, and told me to come back ant tell you that they are coming, and we will all die, and then they let me go. On my way back i saw some smoke coming from a farmer village, i went to check and i wish i had not." Dalito lowered his head and looked at the floor, "They were all dead. All of them. Children, old, young, dwarves, elves... no one was left. I went trough the wreckage to see if i could find some survivals... nothing. after that i found two more villages in the same way, in one of them i heard a noise from one of the burning houses and went in. There was a old dwarf, wounded he was, i pulled him out of the fire but he was dying. But before he passed away he told me what happened. I had until then thought that only Goblins could do such a terrible thing, but it happens that it was no Goblin. It was David. Omega has send his dogs out, to kill, burn and destroy every farm and innocent soul that can be of help to us. But unfortunately that is not all, from the east i saw a huge cloud of dust, i went to scout it... they are tens of thousands, orcs and goblins. I have never seen as many as this before, the are marching in our direction, five days from here maybe four."
And then he was silent.
"Thank you Dalito." the queen said, "You may go now. Get some rest, cause i will need you soon again."
The big doors shut behind Dalito as he left the room, and only silence remained. Argur had never seen the council so quiet before, this was really bad news.
The Queen looked at the council and then at Dragon and she said, "It looks like war is coming to us, from two different fronts, what are we to do?"
And before any of the officers could answer, Dragon the King stood up and said:
"We fight them, and we kill them!"

Good Dragons, Bad Dragons!
Dragons Blood, year 123 of The Age of Kaos
Two days had pass since Dalito left Dragons Blood to meet with Omega.
The atmosphere was heavy and tense all around the city, Argur sat on a rock, his back against the warm wall, his battle axe on one hand and a whetstone on the other, but his thoughts far away. Where was Dalito? What news would he bring? What if he was ambushed by goblins? What if king Omega didn't respect the war laws, and just kill him? He shook his head, in a attempt to wash away such bad thoughts, he looked up and used his hand to protect his eyes against the bright sun.
Up there just beside the main gates stood mighty as a stone giant the southern tower, that was the highest of all the five towers in the city, from there you could see any enemy coming from miles away, from there would come the news if Dalito was to return. Three figures stood watch, and by the way of their arm movements they where in deep discussion, three slim, elegant and tall figures with they long bright blonde hair shining in the sun. "Oakrune, Grams and Wolfswinkle." he said in a deep but low voice.
"Are you talking to yourself old men?" Argur jumped startled and almost fell from the rock he was sitting on, he look to his side and there stood young Sean, prince of Dragons Blood and heir ti the throne. "Of course not, my prince! I was talking to my axe." Argur answer in a serious tone, almost like he was offended by the question, they looked at each other for a short while and then they burst into laugh. The prince was loved by everyone in the city, "Little Dragon" they called him, he was neither elf nor dwarf, his hair was this brown almost blonde, he was not as tall as a elf but neither was he as small as a dwarf, he almost looked like a human was it not for his pointy hears. He had the best of both races, strong as a dwarf, and fast as a elf, Argur had seen him training with his sword, he was skilled, in a few years he would be a lethal warrior.
The prince sat beside Argur and toke a long look at the battle axe, "If you keep sharping it, soon you will be able to cut a Dragons head in one blow!"
" Well that i wouldn't know my prince, i've never seen one, and i don't think i will ever."
" Don't you believe in Dragons Argur?" the prince asked almost in disbelief.
"I believe they existed once, but i've never seen one."
" Father says that, in this lands was where the elves made a pact with the good Dragons, together they brought down the evil dragons that had been terrorizing and killing everyone on this lands. After that the Dragons left to some secret mountain, where they live by themselves. And that is why this lands are called Dragoon Blood."
"Yes, that is what your father would say, but what says your mother, our Queen?"
Little Dragon looked at the dwarf with a little smile hidden in his face and answer, "Mother says that there are no good Dragons, that here in these lands, the dwarves of many ages ago fought bravely against the dragons that were killing everyone. The dwarves fought until all the dirt was red with blood and no dragon was alive. And that is why this lands are called Dragoon Blood."
There were to many stories about how Dragon Blood came to be Dragon Blood, and none of them could be proved wrong or right, Argur didn't know if he believed any of them, but one thing he was sure, he had never seen a dragon nor had anyone in this world that knew of.
"Well old men, i believe they exist! And one day I'll go and find that mountain and will comeback as the first Dragon rider, and i will prove you wrong."
"Now now, young prince don't get all mad on me! I never said i didn't believe in dragons, i said i've never seen one. And i'm sure that if someone ever will be able to find the dragons mountain, and ride one of them, that will be you."
Then they were interrupted by a shout from the southern tower, it was Oakrune, he was shouting "Someone is coming! Someone is coming! A lone rider! Someone is coming!"
Argur and the little prince ran to the main gates, and they heard Oakrune's voice again shouting, this time with a little hint of relieve, "It's Dalito! Dalito is back, open the gates!"

Traitor!
Dragonsblood, year 123 of the Age of Kaos
The sun was disappearing behind the Misty Mountains, his pace was nervous and fast and so were his thoughts.
He read the message again and again in his mind, it was a short and clear message, "Come as soon as possible. We have a traitor! Your Queen "
Who could it be? And why? Was it not enough with the Goblin and Orc war, and all the other hostile cities that would attack now and then, now they also had to worry about a traitor?
He stopped for a short instant to catch his breath, before he start climbing the stairs that lead the way to the Great Hall, even though the big doors of the hall were closed he could hear raised voices, "Half of the city must be in there!" he thought. DragonBlood was in uproar!
Argur entered the room and closed the doors behind him, his eyes needed some time to get used to the dim light of the wall torches that gave light to the room, he looked at his queen and to her husband, DragonsReign a mighty elven warrior, he bowed his head in acknowledgement and they replied. He looked around and now that his eyes had get used to the weak light, he recognise many faces. Danolas, the right had of the queen looked worried and almost lost in his own thoughts, many other were there too, Elocin, Elvenia, Majestica, Aimthrial, Linley and many others, all of them with grim faces.
Queen Alexis stood up, and silence fell over the crowd, she stood there for a while looking into the empty space, the queen toke a deep breath and start talking.
"I am not going to say that we are at war, cause we have been at war over one hundred years now, but we might have gained a new enemy. You all know that David was never happy for our rules, and more then once he defied them." she made a pause. "So it is David", Argur thought to himself, "We should have seen it coming." Alexis continued her speech, "Yesterday he attacked a neighbour village with no reason, I ordered his arrest until we could decided what was to be his punishment. This morning he escaped and went rogue, word is that he joined the Royal Blood allies and is trying to convince king Omega that we are hostile. He is filling Omegas ears with lies of conspiracy from our side, and may he believe this lies we will have some big problems in the future."
"Let them come! We will be waiting for them." Said the brave but hot blooded warrior Elvenia. These words triggered confusion again in the Great Hall, everyone was talking at the same time, some were calling for war, others for peace. Queen Alexis lifted one hand, and everyone was quiet once more. "I have dispatched ambassador Dalito to meet King Omega, he is to explain that we not desire open war, and explain why David left us." she said. "What if this truce fails?" asked Argur that until now had been quiet. "If it fails..." said Dragon from his throne, "You better fetch your armour and your war hammer my good Argur." And with this words the confusion came back, Argur sat down again and thought of Dalito, "I hope he comes back safely, and with good news."
